Hello to those of you who keep up with me via my site! I am working on a big shakeup of how I use this space. Quite soon, my site will function as a hub of everything I produce online as well as a convenient place to get information for contacting me and the other, "analog" types of work that I do. This means that my writing, which I have done very little of in the last year, will be officially out of focus in place of the videos I make and the podcast I do each week.
But the site already kind of feels like a personal hub! What's different?
What is changing is the ability for me to more easily share my photo posts via Instagram instead of using the widget, easier navigation through post types, and more straightforward access to how to contact me and who I am. It will be less of a blog and more of a living portfolio, updated as I produce content, instead of in bulk when I remember to come back to Blogger.
Okay, got it. How is this different from the other times you've redesigned this space?
I'm moving away from Blogger. You won't have to update any URL information, but if you are subscribed to me via RSS, check to ensure that everything still functions after I make the switch. If you're subscribed by email, those updates will no longer function, and I would recommend that you unsubscribe from the feed and add my site to your RSS reader or simply follow on the new platform. I'll tweet that information out as soon as it happens, as well as make a text post in the new space.
Where exactly are you moving to?
Tumblr! It has a bunch of advantages: it's free, you can share the things you like more easily with your friends and followers, and I can have one more way of getting in contact with you. If you're not already on it, I apologize for all of the future time you're going to lose scrolling through your dash in advance.
What about your writing and all of your posts from the past five years?
I have a backup of my posts and will keep this space alive as a regular Blogger URL for now while I decide whether to move my preferred written posts over or not.
That's all, see you soon! Don't forget to subscribe on YouTube and iTunes to always get the most of what I'm doing.
